Membership / Rules and Regulation

TEE TIME CHECK IN

Members and Guests must complete check in procedure at the Reception before playing golf.

RESERVATION

         * Tee Time reservation must be made by phone, facsimile, email or directly to the reservation clerk at least 24 hours in advance.
         * Reservation priority is given if Member follows all the Club Regulations.
         * Any Member or guest arriving without a booking will have to wait until a vacant time is available.
         * The booking of caddies will only be guaranteed if this is done directly with the Caddie Master and/or booking staff.
         * Reservation for many golfers playing at a same time ( as a mini tournament for group or company corporate event must be made in advance by phone, facsimile, email to the Club Management Board. These activities, which do not affect other Members’ interests, are only performed by approval of the Club Management.

CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS

         * Reservations must be cancelled at least 12 hours in advance.
         * If the cancellation is made later than 12 hours, a cancellation fee may be charged according to the current regulations.
         * A restriction on prime time booking will be imposed for Members who regularly “no show”.

LATE ARRIVALS

         * All Golfers must report to the Starter at least 10 minutes before their tee time, failure to do so may result the loss or delay of the tee time.
         * Member and Guests who arrive late for their tee time must wait until there is an opening in which starter can slot for them.
         * Late arrival for tee time must notify the reception 2 hours in advance.
         * Repeated late arrival will be restricted on prime time bookings.

GROUPS

         * A group is strictly limited to a maximum of four (4) and a minimum of three (3) per tee time.
         * If a group has two (2) or one (1) golfer, it will be added in another group due to the Club’s arrangement.
         * On the days the course is busy, a group may have one (1) or two (2) people with the approval of the Club Management and must maintain the speed of play on the entire course.

SPEED OF PLAY

         * The first Tee-off time of the group behind must be at least 05 minutes after the former group.
         * Members and Guests have to maintain the speed of play on the entire course and follow Course Marshal’s guide. Failure to do so may lead to lose playing priority.
         * Time for tee off and putt out is nine (9) to fifteen (15) minutes in maximum.
         * Playing time for each nine (9) holes should not exceed two (2) hours and thirty (30) minutes.
         * Slower group must invite faster group to play through. Groups falling behind one (1) or several holes should immediately invite the group behind to play through.
         * At par three (3) hole, when the ball is on the putting green, let the group behind to tee off and then finish that hole (Call holes). Course marshal will help to regulate when needed.
         * Time for finding lost ball is not over 5 minutes. When looking for a lost ball or using a mobile phone, golfers must let the group behind to play through.
         * Practicing players may not play at days when the course is busy.

CHILDREN

         * Children under the age of 16 years may not play on weekends or public holidays between 6:00 am to 1:00 pm unless with the permission of the Club Management.
         * The Club Management will generally grant permission to play for children under the age of 16 years if they accompany with other low handicappers.
         * Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by their parents who are responsible for their children’s activities.

SUN SHELTER

         * A break at Sun shelter is maximum 10 minutes and a group behind may pass through.
         * After finishing nine (9) holes, Member and customer may stop for lunch but the starter must be informed in order to arrange an exact starting time for the continuation of their round.
         * When stopping for more than 5 minutes, the group behind must start at least 5 minutes after the former group.

MANNER REGULATIONS

         * Follow the sequence of tee-off time according to the arrangement of the starter.
         * Golfers must not delay teeing-off. The player quickly replaces flagstick into the hole after putting-off and immediately leaves the green for the group behind.
         * Golfers must ask the front group or the marshal to pass through.
         * Golfers must keep silent and do not move around while others are playing or putting on the green.

CLOTHES

         * Members and Guests must wear golfing-attire during the game (Shirt with collar and long or mid-length trouser).
         * No jeans, running short, shirt without collar or sleeveless worn on the course.
         * No slippers are allowed on the course.
         * Only Golf shoes and flat-sole sport shoes are allowed on the course.

EQUIPMENT

         * Every player uses a private golf bag, golf club set and golf shoes.
         * Every golfer must have a caddie during play.

SAFETY RULES

         * In Cua Lo Golf Resort area, all Members and Guests, the Club’s staff must strictly follow safety rules of an Insurance company appointed by ............................. to insure for all risks.
         * When swinging golf club or tee off, golfers must ensure that there is no one who is in swinging area or ahead.
         * Ensure that golfers only tee off when the front group is in safe distance.
         * The green and its surroundings is completely clear before playing an approach with any club.
         * If there is any accident, Members and Guests, the Club’s staff must immediately inform the Club Management Board through Course marshal, sun shelter’s staff or reception phone number: () or (); and perform first aid until a representative of the Club Management or medical care staff arrive.

FAIRWAYS MAINTENANCE

         * Fill sand up on the divots after the shots.
         * Fix all the ball marks on the green.
         * Golfers must rake the bunker smooth and fill up all the marks or foot prints before leaving the bunker.
         * Never bring on or place golf bag on the green.
         * No feet scraping, dragging or running on the green.
         * No litter dropping on the course.
         * Buggies must drive on buggy path. Buggies are only permitted to drive cross the fairway into ball lies area and return.
         * Buggies may not carry over fixed people.

HANDICAPS

         * Handicaps of Member and Guests are based on the USGA Rules and under the supervision of the Director of Golf of the Golf resort.
         * After receiving a handicap building fee and sufficiently 20 official scorecards of any golf course (within time limit) as stipulated by tshe Club, Handicap card will be issued to Member.
         * Handicap cards must be updated every 3 months.
         * Scorecards must have entire 18 holes with the date and signature.
         * 20 or higher handicappers are not permitted to tee off from the Gold, and Black tee boxes.
         * On the days the course is busy, there must be an approval of The Management to tee off from the Gold and Black tee boxes.

BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS

In force bad weather conditions that the Club could not keep on serving Members and Guests, then:
         * Members and Guests have the right to ask for stopping or continuing their goIf.
         * Members and Guests decide to continue then they will have no right to blame the service and they are responsible to follow the Club’s regulations as well.
         * If Members and Guests decide to stop their game, payment will be as follows.
         * If from 1 to 3 holes have been completed: green fee is free of charge and Members and Guests must pay Caddie fee for 9 holes.
         * If from 4 to 9 holes have been completed: Members and Guests must pay all fees for 9 holes as stipulated by the Club’s.
         * If from 10 to 13 holes have been completed: Members and Guests just pay all fees for 9 holes and other related fees as stipulated by the Club’s.
         * If from 14 to 18 holes have been completed: Members and Guests must pay all fees for 18 holes as stipulated by the Club’s.
         * Members and Guests with certain priority may have F.O.C on some types of fees when deciding to stop their game but they must pay all fees due to the game completion as listed above (3).

OTHERS

         * These regulations are composed properly for the Club’s operating situation.
         * Other regulations are applied according to the USGA rules. 

LOCAL RULES

         * Local rules are displayed on the board inside the locker rooms.
         * The local rules outlined must be enforced.

Out of Bounds

         * Boundary fences and Out of Bound signs are defined by White stakes or Lines on the course.

Water Hazards

         * Lateral Water Hazards are defined by Red Stakes or Red Lines on the course.
         * Water Hazards are defined by Yellow Stakes or Yellow Lines on the course.

Flower beds and Young trees

All Flower beds & Young trees are Ground Under Repair. Playing from these areas is not permitted

Free lift and drop:

         * Through the green, the ball may be lifted and dropped within one club length from the nearest point of relief but not nearer to the hole, no penalty as follows:
         * Buggy paths, sprinkler heads, Sun shelters, Storm drains, Distance markers, Course signs, Valve boxes.
         * All trees under two club lengths
         * All grounds marked with G.U.R signs.

Plugged balls:

Anywhere “ through the green ” a ball embedded in its own pitch mark may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty, as near as possible to its original position but not nearer to the hole.

Conditions of play:

         * Each player must have a Caddie
         * All golfers must be properly attired.
         * All golfers are requested to speed up play. Caddies are expected to repair divot marks; smooth and rake bunkers; repair ball marks on the green – please would players remind them of this duty.
         * All distances are measured in yards and to the center of green.
         * Marshals should be obeyed for everyone’s enjoyment.
         * All the above rules are based on Etiquette and traditions worldwide.
